June Book Haul! 📚

Image
Hey everyone, Victoria here! Today I wanted to do a June book haul as I have purchased a ton of books this month. Let's just get right into it because I have a lot of books to talk about!! Simon vs The Homeo Sapiens Agenda by Becky Albertalli I've already read this one! More thoughts to come in my June wrap-up, but I really enjoyed it! I really need to watch Love, Simon now!! They Both Die at the End by Adam Silvera I chose this as my summer reading book that I am required to read for school, but I do really want to read it regardless. I've heard nothing but great things about Adam's books so I'm excited to give this one a try! An Ember in the Ashes by Sabaa Tahir With all the hype surrounding this series recently, I figured I'd pick this one up since the beautiful new paperbacks came out! And I wanted to get my hands on this to start reading this series since the third book, A Reaper at the Gates,  came out this month. I'll Give

Hey everyone, it's Victoria here! Today I want to share with you my top 5 most anticipated releases of the summer! Without further ado let's get right into the books...(in no particular order) 1. Campfire by Shawn Sarles  Release Date: July 17th This sounds like a really creepy and eerie read that I am super pumped for! I discovered this book by watching a BEA/Bookcon haul, so if you need some books to look forward to, I would suggest watching some hauls on YouTube.  2. Save the Date by Morgan Matson Published Date: June 5th, 2018 I really enjoyed Since You've Been Gone, which is the only other Morgan Matson book that I've read...but I am really excited to read this one!! The premise seems really fun and I think this would be a great light beach/vacation read!  3. Always Never Yours by Emily Wibberley and Austin Siegemund-Broka  Published Date: May 22nd, 2018 Although this was already published before summer officially

May Wrap-Up (2018)

Hey everyone, it's Victoria here! Today I'm going to be sharing with you my May wrap-up! I only read 3 books in May, which I'm kind of disappointed in but I was also in a reading slump for most of the month. So, let's just jump right into the wrap-up... 1.) The Weight of Zero by Karen Fortunati Rating: ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️  .5   / ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️  (3.5/5) *TRIGGER WARNING-  Talk of suicide and self-harm I started reading this book in April, but I wasn't able to finish it up by the end of the month, so I finished it within the first week of May. I enjoyed the portrayal of mental illness in this book, as I found it relatable and really descriptive. I also liked the relationship in this book between the main characters. The only things that I had a problem with were the fact that it took me such a long time to finish and some parts were a bit boring. Overall, I would recommend this book if you're looking for something about mental illness. 2.) The Belles by Dhonie
